                 The Courage To Begin Again

There comes a moment in every life when the road ahead looks uncertain. A career ends, a dream changes, a relationship evolves, or circumstances force us to start over. Those moments can feel overwhelming, but they can also become the birthplace of new purpose.

Throughout my journey as a veteran, author, and speaker, I have learned that resilience is not about avoiding hardship. Resilience is about taking the next step even when the outcome is unclear. Beginning again takes courage, but it is often where our greatest growth begins.

This blog will share stories, lessons, and reflections on faith, family, service, and the quiet courage

Welcome to the journey.

Why I Started Writing

I started writing in my seventies!

It was not because I was seeking recognition or hoping to become an author. My goal was much simpler and more personal. I wanted to write down my memories for my children, grandchildren, and friends. I wanted to leave something behind that would tell them who I was, where I had been, and what I had learned along the way.

Like most lives, mine has not been perfect. There have been successes and disappointments, joys and challenges, lessons learned the easy way and the hard way. Yet through it all, I have tried to live a life of service to others. Those experiences have shaped the person I am today.

As I began writing, I discovered that memories are more than stories. They are pieces of our history, our values, and our faith. I realized that if I did not put these experiences on paper, they might be lost over time. Writing became a way to preserve those moments and pass them on to future generations.

What began as a collection of memories soon grew into something more. I found purpose in sharing the lessons life had taught me and the importance of perseverance, faith, and beginning again when circumstances seem difficult.

This blog is an extension of that journey. Here I will share reflections on life, writing, service, faith, and the experiences that have influenced me over the years.

My hope is not that readers will see a perfect life, but an honest one. If something I share encourages even one person to keep moving forward, then the effort of writing will have been worthwhile.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.
